Conditions to use the ConectaSTEM Data Repository

Authors using data from ConectaSTEM´s open public repository should comply with the following conditions in their publications:

1. Acknowledgment and Citation: Authors must explicitly cite the source of the data, including the name of the repository, the web link, and the date the data was accessed.

2. Methodological Transparency: Authors must clearly describe how the data from the repository was used in their research, including any filtering, cleaning, transformation, or analysis processes applied. This allows other researchers to understand and potentially replicate their findings.

3. Respect for Anonymization: Authors must commit to not attempting to re-identify the individuals included in the anonymized dataset. Any attempt to link it to other identifiable data sources or the application of techniques that could compromise anonymization will be considered a violation of the terms of use.

4. Responsible Interpretation: Authors should interpret the data responsibly and avoid making misleading claims or inappropriate generalizations based on the anonymized nature and potential limitations of the dataset.

5. Reporting Errors or Inconsistencies: If authors identify any errors, inconsistencies, or potential problems with the repository data, they should notify conectastem so that they can be investigated and, if necessary, corrected or communicated to other users.

6. License Compliance: Authors must adhere to the terms and conditions of the Creative Commons license. Data cannot be used for commercial purposes. Authors cannot share the data.

7. Additional Ethical Considerations: Although the data are anonymous, authors must follow the ethical principles of their discipline in conducting research and presenting results, ensuring academic integrity and avoiding any form of scientific misconduct.
